Orders

When will my order ship?

We dispatch twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you order outside those days, expect your parcel to leave on the next dispatch day. Each order ships with tracking and you'll get the number by email.

Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?

Yes, as long as the parcel hasn't been packed. Write to [email protected] with your order number and we'll sort it. Once a parcel is in the post we can't intercept it, but the returns policy still applies.

Do you sell gift cards?

Not yet. We've thought about it. If you'd like one for a particular amount, write to us and we'll improvise something for you.

Returns & refunds

Can I return something?

Yes — most pieces can be returned within 14 days, unused and in their original packaging. Limited editions, custom orders, gift cards and items marked final-sale are non-returnable. Full detail on the returns page.

What if my parcel arrives damaged?

Take a photo of the parcel and the damaged piece and send it to [email protected] within 7 days of delivery. We'll replace it from stock if we still have it, or refund you in full.

How long do refunds take?

We refund to the original payment method within 5 working days of receiving the return. Your bank or card issuer may take a few days more to show it on your statement.

The work itself

What is letterpress, exactly?

Letterpress is a relief printing process — ink is rolled onto a raised surface (metal or polymer type), then pressed onto paper. Every print is made one sheet at a time. The slight impression you can feel on a Laravel print isn't a defect; it's the whole point.

Why is the colour slightly different from the photo?

Ink is mixed by hand for each run and paper batches vary. We try to photograph the work as honestly as we can, but a screen is not a piece of paper. If a colour is materially off from the listing, that's a defect — write to us.

What does “edition of 80” mean?

It means we printed eighty copies of that piece and we will not print it again. When the eightieth one is sold, the listing comes down.

Are the pieces signed and numbered?

Limited editions are. Open-edition prints, stationery and notecards are not.

Custom & wholesale

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally. We do small runs — wedding stationery, a press mark for a publisher, a poem for a friend. We do not do logos, business cards in volume, or anything that needs to be ready next week. Write to [email protected] with what you have in mind and roughly when you need it.

Do you sell wholesale?

To a small number of shops we like. If you run one, write to us with a link and a sentence about your shop and we'll come back to you.

Can I license one of your designs?

Sometimes, for specific uses. The default answer is no, but the door is not closed — write to us.
